Best Brooks Trail Running Shoes
As an experienced runner who has logged over a 1,000 miles per year, including 100,000 feet of elevation gain, for many years, I consider myself an authority on running shoes. I've put in these miles on a combination of trails and roads, so I know firsthand what makes a good running shoe. In my opinion, the best Brooks running shoes are the Brooks Cascadia.
The Brooks Cascadia are amazing for trails, but they work equally well on the road. Some of the things I like most about these shoes are the excellent foot protection, the deep tread, and the strong support they provide.
I made the switch from Hokas to Brooks when I turned my ankle badly in the Hokas and decided I wanted a shoe that was lower to the ground with more stability. The Brooks Cascadia fit the bill perfectly. These shoes are great for trails, but I've also found them to be excellent for road running. I've run many marathons in them.
There is also a GTX version of the Brooks Cascadia where the upper is made of Gore Tex. I wear the GTX version in the winter since they keep my feet much warmer than the standard version. It's a great feature that I don't have to adjust to a new shoe just to get the added benefit of warm and dry feet.
If you're in the market for a new pair of running shoes, I highly recommend giving the Brooks Cascadia a try.
